Deerfield Beach, Florida: Leon U. Lacroix, age 80, and a former longtime resident of Lawrence, MA, died October 12, 2016 with his family by his side. Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Conrad and Fernande (Roy) Lacroix. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and Central Catholic High School and received his degree in Business from Merrimack College. Mr. Lacroix formerly served as a Specialist-4 in the Massachusetts National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves.
Mr. Lacroix was employed as an Engineer at Raytheon for thirty-six years until his retirement. He was a member of Lawrence Council 67 of the Knights of Columbus and a Fourth Degree member of Fr. O'Donnell Assembly. A resident of Deerfield Beach since 2004, he was a member and Past Grand Knight of John A. Hill Council of the Knights of Columbus, Pompano Beach.
He enjoyed R.V. Camping and traveling across the United States, woodworking, and photography and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Noeline (White) Lacroix, a daughter and son-in-law, Christine N. "Tina" and Dennis Conlin of Andover, MA, his sons and daughters-in-law, Paul C. and Christine Lacroix of East Lansing, MI, David L. Lacroix of Salem, NH, Alan T. and Aimee Lacroix of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Daniel B. and Ines Lacroix of Coral Springs,FL, a sister, Sr. Christine Lacroix, SUSC of Providence, RI, two brothers, Roger C. LaCroix and his wife Annette of Andover and Arthur E. LaCroix and his wife Joan of Windham, NH, nine grandchildren, Brittany Conlin, Christopher Conlin, Matthew Conlin, Emily Conlin, Nathan Lacroix, Steven Lacroix, Nadia Franco, Andrew Lacroix and Jadyn Lacroix, a sister-in-law, Lorraine Brown and her husband Philip, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Lacroix's Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday morning preceding the Mass. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations in Mr. Lacroix' name may be made to John A.
