Newton, NH: Lea M. (Motard) Roberts, 72, of Newton died on January 1, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.

Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Marisseau) Motard, she attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1958. She went on to attend Secretarial School at MacIntosh Business School.

Mrs. Roberts worked as a secretary for Avco-Textron for forty years before her retirement in 1999. She was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. A devoted wife, she enjoyed baking and traveling.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years, Paul B. Roberts, her brother Joseph Motard, Jr. and his wife Nancy of East Brunswick, NJ, her sister-in-law Eleanor Becotte of Hampton, NH, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 8 Depot Road, Plaistow, NH.
