Laurie L.
D'Amore
October 4, 1965 – November 13, 2018
Haverhill: Laurie L. D'Amore (Seeley), 53, died peacefully at her home on November 13, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of the late Myrl and Barbara (Belmont) Seeley, she attended area schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1983. During her teen years, Laurie worked at Market Basket in Central Plaza where she met her husband, Peter. After graduating high school, she took some classes at Northern Essex Community College and began her career at The Eagle-Tribune Newspaper. Laurie worked there for thirty years, most recently as the Human Resources Director.
Laurie loved to shop--finding a good bargain was a bonus! She also enjoyed photography, the beach, especially Hampton Beach, and she was an avid Patriots fan. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year as she would put her passion for baking into full swing. Most of all Laurie loved her family, always doing everything as a group.
Laurie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty years, Peter D'Amore, daughter Michaela, sisters Darlene Tilton and her husband Jerry of Standish, ME, Leah Grant and her husband Michael of Newfield, NH, Barbara Clark and her husband Christopher of Billerica, MA, mother-in-law Mary Roberts and her husband William, of Naples, FL, brother-in-law Stephen D'Amore of Malmo, Sweden, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Laurie's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. A private burial will take place on Monday, November 19, 2018, in Saint Joseph's Cemetery.
Laurie's favorite color was purple. In her honor, the family kindly requests that you wear a purple item to her services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network at www.theibcnetwork.org/donation-page .
