Kyle A. Matey, 19, of Salem, died July 5, 2017 in Hooksett.

Born in Portsmouth, NH, son of Kimberly Kustra and the late Karl E. Matey, he was raised in Salem, NH and attended Calvary Christian Bible School and the Calvary Christian Church in Derry. He later attended Bradford Christian Academy where he was a member of the school soccer team.

Employed most recently by Senna Tire Company of Manchester, he enjoyed skateboarding as a young man and fishing, especially with his family.

He was predeceased by his father Karl E. Matey on April 26, 2017, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Kim Kustra Baez of Candia, his grandparents George and Alice (Zacharias) Tombarello, of Atkinson, and Kenneth Kustra of Candia, great grandmother Ada Matey of Methuen, and great-grandfather John Kustra, siblings Carl, Kody, Ada, Michael and Carolina, his aunt and uncle who raised him and who he referred to as Mom and Dad, Kerri and David Bergeron of Salem,  his cousins who he referred to them as his brother Nicolas Bergeron and sisters Kaitlyn and Jessica Bergeron, all of Salem, uncle and aunt, George and Stacey Tombarello, and cousins Georgie, Gianna and Gavin, all of Atkinson, uncle and  aunt, Matthew and Kayleen Tombarello of Epping, aunts Katie Trepanier and Karen Lacerte, and cousins Kameron, Jake and Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration to be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10a.m. at the funeral home. A private family burial service will be held at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
