IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin R.
Stanton
June 28, 1963 – October 10, 2020
Hampstead, NH: Kevin R. Stanton, 57, a resident of Hampstead for the last twenty-five years, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Beth Israel/ Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Manchester, Connecticut, son of the late Dr. Robert and Joyce (Sheehey) Stanton, he attended Avon Old Farms School in Avon, CT graduating in 1982, and went on to graduate from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, where he was a founding member and captain of the St. Edmund's Rugby Team.
Kevin was employed in the lumber industry for almost 35 years, and for the past eight years was a territory manager for the Hood-McQuesten Group of Ayer, MA. A member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead, the Hampstead Civic Club, and the International Concatenated Order of Hoo-Hoo. Kev was an avid golfer, playing in the Friday Night Floggers League, and a long time participant of the Hampstead Mens' Basketball League.
Kevin was a voracious reader, often passing along books to friends he thought would enjoy the same author; he was a die-hard fan of New England sports teams, especially passionate about the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox; he spent as much time as possible at the family camp in Vermont on Molly's Falls Pond, enjoying the water, swimming, fishing, whiffle ball games, and time with his family and friends; he enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska and Ireland, making sure to enjoy his share of Guinness. The ultimate pleasure for Kevin was being with family and friends, followed closely by making people laugh. Kev had an innate sense for delivering funny one-liners; relating a humorous incident, often chuckling to himself well before the punch line could be delivered; and setting up pranks with an uncanny ability, which would be sure to provide fodder for embellishments for decades to come.
Kevin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of thirty-two years, Sandra (Phelan) Stanton, daughter Meghan P. Stanton of Portsmouth, NH, son Michael P. Stanton of Hampstead; two brothers, Christopher Stanton and his wife Sally of Fair Haven, VT, and Shaun Stanton and his wife Christine of South Dartmouth, MA; two sisters, Ann Badger and her husband Bob of Flagler Beach, FL, and Jane Stanton of Danbury, CT, one aunt, and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
