Obituary

Atkinson, NH: Kevin P. Morgan, 74, a resident of Atkinson for the last thirty-seven years, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, following a long battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, he was the son and only child of the late Wilbert and Cecile (Blinn) Morgan. He attended the Tilton School and was a member of the Saint James High School Class of 1964 where he  served as Class President in both his junior and senior years. He attended Merrimack College in North Andover before marrying his high school sweetheart, Ruthann M. Lavallee, in 1968.

Kevin was a meat cutter by trade and in 1972 had the honor of going to work alongside his father-in-law and three brothers-in-law at the Lionel Lavallee Company until its closing in 2004. He then worked as a sales representative for Poultry Products, Inc. where he enjoyed his work and made many friends until his retirement in 2015. As a testament to the friendships he made, he continued to attend annual golf outings and the company's annual Christmas party even after his retirement.

Kevin was raised in Saint Rita's Parish in Haverhill where he served as an altar boy and was later a longtime and active member of All Saints Parish, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. His Catholic faith was central to his life. Kevin was devoted to his wife and his family and was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of family unity and love. He immensely enjoyed Sunday night dinners at home with his family and took great pride in maintaining his extensive yard including his many flower beds. He was a 3 rd degree black belt and instructor of karate at the Robert Meserve Studio and also volunteered as a basketball coach for the Haverhill Boys Club. He enjoyed golfing as a member of the Saint Joseph Golf League.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted and loving wife of fifty-two years, Ruthann M. (Lavallee) Morgan, a daughter Amy D. Morgan of Plaistow, NH, two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric K. and April Morgan of Hampton, NH, and Brett K. and Emily Morgan of Sandown, NH, his grand-daughters Charlotte, Brandi and Jade, and great-granddaughters, Leyna and Isabella. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Leonard Lavallee and his wife Wendy of Enfield, NH, and Thomas Lavallee and his wife Mary Jane of Plaistow, sisters-in-law, Arlene M. Porter of East Hampstead, and Diane M. Lavallee of Haverhill, an aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a very special aunt, Aileen (Morgan) McCarthy and brothers-in-law Stephen W. Lavallee and Paul S. Porter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kevin's Life Celebration to be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, following the New Hampshire guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks.
