September 10, 1936 – December 24, 2024
Kenneth A. Lavallee, 88, of Plaistow, NH, passed Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at High Point Hospice House with his family by his side.
Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie (Bouchard) Lavallee. He was a longtime parishioner of All Saints Parish, formerly St. Joseph's Church, and graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1954. After graduating, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played professional baseball for their minor league affiliate, the Hamilton Red Wings. He later went on to coach and mentor many in Riverside Bradford Little League and American Legion Post 4.
Kenneth had a successful career with Western Electric and AT&T as a purchasing agent for many years. He was an avid Boston sports fan, with the Boston Bruins being his favorite. He also enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling and a good game of cribbage and 45's, but always looked forward to his favorite summer trip to Cape Cod with his family to celebrate his wife's birthday. Faith and family always came first in his life but, most importantly, life revolved around his grandchildren whom he always reminded that he was as strong as "Spring Steel".
Kenneth was a loving and devoted husband of 67 years, father, Pepere and friend to all. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marilyn J. (Pascucci) Lavallee of Plaistow, NH., sons Kenneth J. Lavallee and his wife Tina of Dover, NH, Kevin G. Lavallee of Haverhill, MA and Joseph F. Lavallee of Haverhill, MA; daughter Jean Wholley and her husband Steve of Haverhill, MA; grandchildren Stephen and his wife Amy, Joseph and his husband Douglas, John, Kenny and his wife Katie, Jennifer who was "His Dolly" and fiancé Jamie, Meghan, Emma and Matthew; great grandchildren Isabelle, Charlotte, Calvin and Marilyn; sisters in law Carol Sawyer and Susan Pascucci both of Haverhill, MA and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers Milton, David, Francis and Ronald Lavallee and sisters Irma, Joan and June.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 96 Salem St., Haverhill, MA. Memorial contributions can be made in Kenneth's memory to St. Jude Society, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
