Newton, NH: Kenneth W. "Kenny" Jenkins, 19, a resident of Newton for the last fifteen years, died early Saturday morning, May 17, 2014 following an automobile accident.
Born in Lynn, MA, and raised and educated in Newton, NH, son of Edward F. and Jennifer (Lynch) Jenkins, he attended Sanborn Memorial Elementary School and Sanborn Middle School. A member of the Sanborn Regional High School Class of 2013, he was a member of the Varsity Basketball and Varsity Soccer teams and was the recipient of several Coach's Awards throughout his athletic career. Kenny recently completed his freshman year at Florida Atlantic University where he was an Ocean Engineering major.
He worked at 3M Corporation in Haverhill and had also worked for Century House in Peabody. A member of Mary Mother of the Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, he loved animals, the ocean, traveling, and music. He also cherished the time he spent with his family.
He leaves behind his parents, Edward F. and Jennifer (Lynch) Jenkins, his twin brothers, Hunter E. and Scott T. Jenkins all of Newton, NH, his paternal grandparents, Kenneth W. and Mildred L. (Hines) Jenkins of Candia, NH, maternal grandparents, William L. and Patricia (Schaffner) Lynch of Peabody, MA, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Newton, NH.
