Kelly A. Emmett, 54, of Plaistow, NH, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Emmett and Roberta Coleman Emmett.
Born in Boston, MA on July 11, 1971, Kelly was raised and educated in North Andover, MA and was a proud graduate of North Andover High School, Class of 1989. She spent many years working as a bar manager at the Salem, NH VFW Post 8546 and later at the Kingston Memorial VFW Post 1088, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her strong presence, sharp wit, and fierce loyalty to those she loved.
Kelly’s grandchildren and her dogs were the heart of her world. She showed up for every moment that mattered. The big ones and the quiet ones with love, protection, and laughter. She was a great friend, deeply loyal, and unapologetically herself. Kelly had a legendary temper that could go from zero to one hundred in a heartbeat, but it always came from a place of passion and love for her family and friends.
Kelly is survived by her fiancé and best friend, Robert Burns, the one man who could truly stand beside her and handle her fire. She is also survived by her children, Lauren MacLean and her partner Tim Meuse of North Andover, and Dylan Boutin and his wife Rebecca Boutin of Merrimack, NH; her cherished grandchildren, Kaelyn MacLean, Lilly Boutin, Zoey Boutin, Carly Boutin, and Corey Boutin, and her fur babies, Gunner and Tank.
She was predeceased by her brother, Ryan Emmett, and her father, James Emmett.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kelly’s memory to the MSPCA at support.mspca.org.
