Plaistow, NH: Kathleen D. (Stewart) (Files) Keefe, 68, of Plaistow, died August 5, 2015, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, MA.

Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Stewart and Elizabeth (Gilman) (Stewart) Thompson. Raised and educated in Haverhill, MA, she graduated from Haverhill High School, and also attended Burdett College in Boston, MA.

Mrs. Keefe worked as a Receptionist and Secretary for Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill, MA for twenty-seven years and was a member of the Riverside Memorial Church in Haverhill. She enjoyed camping in the mountains and watching Home and Garden Television. A devoted grandmother, she enjoyed sewing, crafting and painting murals in watercolors.

Predeceased by her first husband, David Files, she is survived by her husband of twenty-six years, Richard K. Keefe, two daughters, Jennifer B. Gillan of Sandown, NH and Nancy J. King of Rochester, NH; two brothers, Raymond Stewart, Jr. of Newton, NH and Colin Stewart and his wife, Laura of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Anne E. Durst and her husband, Henry Durst, Jr. of Haverhill, MA and Sally Eberline of Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and was eagerly awaiting the birth of her second great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kathleen's Life Celebration on Monday, August 10, 2015, from 5 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Route 121A), Plaistow, NH. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 3:30 PM at the Riverside Church, 278 Groveland St., Haverhill, MA. Burial will be private at a later date.
