Hampstead, NH: Kathleen G. (Smyth) Stubbs, 82, a former resident of Plaistow and Hampstead, died February 1, 2016 at The Stevens-Bennett Home in Haverhill, MA.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Cruthers) Smyth, she moved to Liverpool, England where she was raised and educated. She emigrated first to Canada, and briefly to California before settling in Salem, MA in 1965 for twenty-five years. She moved to Plaistow, NH in 1993, and later to Hampstead in 2004.

A housewife and homemaker all of her life, Mrs. Stubbs enjoyed sewing, knitting, dancing and trips back to England to visit with family.

The wife of the late Frank Stubbs, who predeceased her in 2001, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Christine Stubbs of Hampstead, a grandson Matthew D. Stubbs, of Boston, a brother Robert Smyth of Toronto, Canada, and several relatives in England.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Stubbs Life Celebration to be held on Friday morning February 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 12:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead.
