Obituary

Plaistow, NH: Kathleen S. Manning, 62, a former longtime resident of Plaistow before her recent move to North Myrtle Beach, SC, died peacefully on June 4, 2021, at the Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts,  daughter of the late Thomas and Eleanor (Williams) Manning, she graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School with the Class of 1976 and went on to receive a secretarial degree from Marian Court College of Swampscott in 1978.

Kathleen worked for much of her professional career as an executive secretary nationally and internationally, including Russia, first for the Central Intelligence Agency and later for Arthur D. Little Co, an international management consulting firm. She later developed her own business, "Spiritual Connections by Kathleen" working as a spiritual healer and angel practitioner. She touched the lives of many by bringing them comfort and peace via her gift and skill of mediumship.

Following the death in 2016 of her eldest son, Thomas Cashman, she founded a movement to raise awareness of opiate addiction. She received accolades from the New Hampshire Governor and State Senators for her effort and success in organizing an "addiction awareness" fundraiser to benefit Mercy Street, a substance abuse support group sponsored by the First Baptist Church of
Plaistow. Her efforts contributed to scholarships that allowed addicts to enter recovery programs. She opened her home and her heart to many over the years

Kathleen enjoyed tennis, cooking, gardening, karaoke and shamelessly spoiling her beloved grandchildren. She lived her life to the fullest, even skydiving on her fiftieth birthday, and especially traveling with her husband, 'Mic", to Hawaii, Ireland, Costa Rica and throughout the Mediterranean area, all of them her "trip of a lifetime".

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Michael "Mic" Roberts, a son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Katelin Cashman of Plaistow, two grandchildren, James K. Cashman and Julia R. Cashman, both of Plaistow, a brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Karen Manning of Rhode Island and a brother, Paul Manning of New Hampshire, a niece Kate Manning and her 'fur babies" Chloe and Roxie and several aunts uncles and cousins.
