Obituary

Hampstead: Kathleen A. (Dwyer) White, 68, of Hampstead, died peacefully in her home on February 10, 2017, following a long period of declining health.

Born in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary V. (Sheahan) Dwyer. Raised in Haverhill and Atkinson, NH and educated at Saint James Grammar School, she was a member of Haverhill High School Class of 1966 and a longtime member of the Reunion Committee. Mrs. White was a resident of Atkinson from 1972 until 2006, and moved to Hampstead ten years ago.

Employed first as a tax examiner by the IRS from 1967 until 1970, she worked as a bookkeeper at Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow for many years and Maplewood Flower Shop and Garden Center and finally for Paul White Plumbing and Heating.

She was an active member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead and former member of Holy Angels Parish, serving both parish communities as a lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren who gave her the strength and determination throughout her illnesses to fight and be present for her family.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-eight years, Paul E. White, a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca M and Brian McCarthy of Plaistow, two grandchildren, Matthew Paul McCarthy and Audrey Grace McCarthy, a brother Robert E. Dwyer, Jr. of Brentwood, a sister Ann Marie Dwyer of Andover, and several nieces nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday morning, February 15, at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead.
