Karl E. Matey, 47, of Atkinson, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  Karl was born at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC on December 3, 1969 and was the son of George and Alice (Zacharias) Tombarello.  He attended the Calvary Christian School in Derry and Timberlane High School in Plaistow.  Karl currently worked as a carpenter for George Mazrani of Salem and previously for Phil St. Cyr at Cabinet Depot of Derry.  He will always be remembered for his hard work and craftsmanship.
He attended Calvary Bible Church in Derry and really enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and camping.  He was a generous, outdoors person who loved people, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back or give up his last dollar without being asked.  His mother recalls a time he bought the flowers of a woman behind him in line at the grocery store, thinking nothing of himself, and dismissing any praise for it.
He is survived by three sons, Carl, Kyle and Kody; a daughter Ada; a grandmother Ada Matey of Methuen, MA; parents George and Alice (Zacharias) Tombarello of Atkinson; a sister and brother-in-law, Kerri (Matey) and David Bergeron of Salem; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Stacy Tombarello of Atkinson and Matthew and Kayleen Tombarello of Epping; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Karl's Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from 4 – 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.   A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
