Newton, NH: June P. (Hartop) Rowell, 95, of Newton, NH, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2020, at Wingate Haverhill.

Born and raised in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Bartlett) Hartop, and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1942. She also was a member of the congregation at First Baptist Church in Plaistow, NH. For over twenty-five years she was employed as a loan officer at Family Mutual Bank on Merrimack St in Haverhill.  Through the years June was a devoted soap opera fan and would rush home on her lunch hour to catch her favorite show. After her retirement she enjoyed camping with her children and grandchildren, traveling to horse shows on weekends, spending time at the beach and floating in the pool.

June dearly loved her family, reaching five generations, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

She is survived by her son, John Rowell and his wife Hope of Kingston, NH, daughters, Gloria Boylan of Newton, NH, and Brenda Toshach and her husband Craig of The Villages, FL, grandchildren; Laurie Reilly, Anne Rowell Kimball, Kelly Boylan, David Parker, Amy Rowell, Jeni Bilodeau, and Bonnie Larkin, sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and one on the way, one niece, and five great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty (Hartop) Dougherty. June will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Due to the National Health Emergency, funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
