Hampstead: Juanitalee (DelGenio) Chiachio, 81, a resident of Hampstead for the last fifty-one years, died peacefully at home on Friday, January 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Malden, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Surrette) DelGenio and was raised and educated in Revere, graduating from Revere High School. She was employed as a young woman at Converse Rubber Co. until leaving the workforce to raise her family. She resided in Revere, MA with her growing family for several years, before moving to Southern New Hampshire, living first in Fremont, before settling in Hampstead in 1973 and was a member of Saint Anne's Parish.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Juanita enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her husband and sons. She later happily assumed the responsibility for helping to raise her grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts and ceramics and taught ceramics classes in her home on East Road.
Mrs. Chiachio will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of sixty-three years, Peter R. Chiachio, Jr., her three sons, Peter R. Chiachio,III, of Hooksett, NH, Richard G. Chiachio and his wife Melanie of Hampstead, and George Chiachio and his wife Sthefany, of Hampstead; ten grandchildren, Nicole, Peter IV, Jacquelyn, Nicholas, Richard,Jr., Anthony, Dylan, Jonathan, Brandy and Lyndsey; eight great-grandchildren, a brother Ronald DelGenio of Saugus, MA a sister, Maryellen Pelletier, of Hampstead, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in 2010 by her son, John R. Chiachio, and also a sister Rosalie Rossetti, and brothers Angelo, John, and George DelGenio.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. Her funeral will begin at 12 p.m. on Wednesday from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead.
