August 8, 1930 – January 14, 2019
Kingston, NH: Joyce E. (Wentworth) Thibeault, 88, a longtime resident of Hampstead, died at her home in Kingston on Monday January 14, 2019.
Born in Plaistow, daughter of the late Proctor and Ruth (Eastman) Wentworth, she was raised and educated in Plaistow and Hampstead, graduating Hampstead High School with the Class of 1948. Later she attended the Elliot School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Joyce worked as a Registered Nurse at Elliot Hospital and also as a Private Duty Nurse. She was an owner/operator of Bits and Pieces Gift Shop in York Beach, ME as well as Yankee Pantry in East Hampstead. She was a longtime member of the Hampstead Congregational Church and then later the Carriage Town Bible Church when she moved to Kingston. Joyce was also a member of the Hampstead Lioness Club, active in organizing senior foliage trips and the senior citizens dinners at Christmas time.
When Joyce had leisure time she enjoyed making dried flower arrangements, cake decorating, and oil painting with her daughter Martha. More recently one of favorite past times was going on long drives with her daughter Linda which always included one of Joyce's greatest loves, stopping for chocolate walnut fudge ice cream.
Predeceased by her husband Raymond Thibeault, Joyce will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Joan Murray and her husband Robert of Manchester, Cynthia Bedard and her husband Gerald of Sandown, Martha Temple and her husband Darrell of Kingston, Kathleen Thibeault of Kingston, Linda Moseley and her husband Charlie of Kingston, Rae-Ellen Chute and her husband Timothy of Leeds, ME, Doreen Benton of Salem, brothers Proctor Wentworth, Jr., of Hampstead, David Wentworth of Wisconsin, Paul Wentworth of Hampstead, twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Wentworth.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday January 20, 2019 at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow. Her funeral service to follow at 3:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place in West Hampstead Cemetery in the spring.
