Haverhill, MA:  Joyce (Johnstone) Kershaw, 77, of Haverhill, MA and formerly of Salem, NH,  Hampstead, NH, Groveland, MA and Kennebunk, ME, died on November 20, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Brockton, MA, the daughter of the late Janice (Planta) Johnstone, she was raised in Winthrop, MA and attended Winthrop High School.  Joyce met her first husband, Roger Zwicker, while in high school, and they were married for over twenty-five years.   She worked as a teacher at the Tower Day Nursery School in Lynnfield, MA for over fifteen years and also as an administrative assistant for ten years at the Topsfield Town Hall, Topsfield, MA.

A member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Hampstead, NH, Joyce loved to paint and enjoyed the time she spent in the state of Maine, having lived in Kennebunk for a short while.  She loved to shop in North Conway where she enjoyed a girls' weekend shopping with her daughter, Sue and her granddaughter, Jennie.  She enjoyed feasting on Maine lobster, salmon and chocolate, and also enjoyed traveling throughout New England with her family.  Joyce was truly passionate about educating children and always looked forward to babysitting her grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Thomas Kershaw, to whom she was married from 1993 until his death in 2013.  She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Roger Zwicker of Moultonboro, NH and Bob Zwicker and his girlfriend, Lisa Sullivan of Haverhill, MA; a daughter, Sue Fenton and her husband, Rick of Bradford, MA; five sisters, Gail Goulart, June Martin, Linda DeVeer, Shirley Palmer and her husband, Ken and Karen Strahan; three grandchildren, Bryan Zwicker, Jennie Fenton and Drew Fenton; her former husband, Roger Zwicker and many nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joyce's Life Celebration to be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019, from 2 to 5 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  Her funeral will begin on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Service following at 10 AM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 187 East Road, Hampstead, NH.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Hampstead.
