Joyce M. (DeCesare) Harrison, 74, passed away Monday April 15, 2024, at Penacook Place in Haverhill, following a period of failing health.

Born October 22, 1949 in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bernice (Daly) DeCesare.

Mrs. Harrison was a fourth-grade teacher for many years for the City of Lawrence, MA, at the John K. Tarbox School.  Joyce was a devoted wife and mother; her home was the center of her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking and was an avid reader. She loved the theater and was a member of the North Shore Music Theatre, and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre.

Members of her family include her husband Thomas Harrison of Haverhill, MA; her children Michael Harrison of Tyngsboro, MA; Steven Harrison of Haverhill, MA; and Mary Harrison of Bedford, MA; one brother Albert DeCesare of Greensboro, S.C.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2pm–5pm at the Berube-Comeau Funeral Home located at 47 Broadway in Haverhill.  Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 22 at 9am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
