Kingston, NH: Joyce L. (Conte) Gould, 80, a resident of Kingston for the last thirty-seven years, died peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred (Loffredo) Conte, she was raised and educated in Methuen, graduating Tenney Memorial High School with the Class of 1956.
Mrs. Gould worked first at Western Electric Co. in North Andover, MA and later was employed for twenty-six years as a Directory Assistance Operator for New England Telephone, until her retirement. She was also a co-owner of Complete RV of Kingston with her late husband, Lewis.
A woman who lived for the love of her family, she was a role model for her large extended family. She knew what she wanted from life and was never afraid to work hard to obtain it. She enjoyed camping and trips to the beach and tending her flower gardens. In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending her winters in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Predeceased in 2012 by her husband and love of her life, Lewis N. Gould, and her son Jeffrey M. Gould in 1985, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a son Lewis N. Gould, Jr. and his wife Gina of Plaistow, three daughters, Deborah A. Mills and her husband Kenneth of Kingston, Luann P. Gould of Plaistow, and Darlene M. Moran and her husband Scott of North Port, Florida, a brother Daniel Conte of Methuen, two sisters Angela Turcotte and Sharon Gagne, both of Lawrence, ten grandchildren, Edward "EJ", Kenneth, Corey, Troy, Ryan, Amanda, Courtney, Matthew, James and Shelby, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter Ava Rose Moran, and her brother Frank Conte.
Due to the national health emergency, a private family funeral service will be held under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jeffrey Michael Gould Scholarship Fund c/o Sanborn Regional High School, 17 Danville Road, Kingston NH.
