Obituary

Atkinson, NH: Joyce J. (Deveau) Kozak, 85, a resident of Atkinson since 1994, died June 8, 2017 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.

Born in North Andover, MA, daughter of the late Nicholas and Gertrude (Dorion) Deveau, she was educated in the Haverhill Public School System. She was employed for twenty years as a layout operator at AT&T Technologies and Lucent Technologies, retiring in 1997. She previously worked as a stitcher at Samuel Roberts Clothing of Haverhill and as a waitress at the former Lomazzo's Bella Vista Restaurant.

A former longtime resident of Haverhill, she was a member of the former Saint Rita's Parish and Communication Workers of America Local 1365, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-four years, Valentine J. "Val" Kozak, two daughters Lynne A. Murray and her husband William Amaral of Canaan, NH, and Gail E. Murray and her husband Bill Wanner of Canaan, two brothers, Richard Deveau and Dale Deveau, both of Haverhill, a stepdaughter, Karen McNamara of Haverhill, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

Interment services will be held in the State of NH Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Town of Atkinson Transportation Fund or New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
