Plaistow, NH:  Josephine J. (Tringale) Tuffin, 92, of Plaistow and a former longtime resident of Peabody, MA, died peacefully on August 7, 2020 at Seaview Retreat in Rowley, MA.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Virginia (Teresa) Tringale and was raised and educated in Medford. She was a resident of Peabody for thirty years, where she was employed for twelve years as a cafeteria worker in the local school system and also as a waitress for many years in Peabody restaurants and the Agawam Diner in Rowley.

Mrs. Tuffin was an accomplished cook and baker and also enjoyed crafts, bingo, dancing, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed several years as a wintertime resident of Florida. .

She was predeceased in 2010 by her husband of sixty-three years, Harvey J. "John" Tuffin, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, John Tuffin of Dallas, Texas and Steven Tuffin of Simpsonville, S.C., two daughters, Elaine Moriera and her husband Geraldo of Peabody and Barbara Dever and her husband James of Plaistow, with whom she made her home for several years, a sister Catherine Masiello and her husband Edward of Stoneham, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters.

The family would like to thank the staffs of both Seaview Retreat and Care Dimensions, for the wonderful care and comfort provided to Mrs. Tuffin during her final days.
