"Josie" Dipietro

Sandown, NH: Josephine M. "Josie" (Licciardello) DiPietro, 86, a resident of Sandown for twenty years, died April 29, 2025, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her loving and supportive family.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Antonio and Sarah (Reitano) Licciardello, Josie was a member of the Lawrence High School Class of 1956. She later attended Merrimack College and the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Josie was first employed as a legal secretary for the Law Office of Lane, Close and Orlando and later as a secretary at AVCO. At the time of her retirement, Josie was a Senior Product Specialist at Wang Laboratories and was previously a secretary for Dr. An Wang.
A resident of Methuen for thirty-seven years before moving to Sandown in 2004, she was a former member of Saint Lucy's Parish of Methuen and was presently a member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead, NH.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Josie had a passion for cooking and baking and was always working hard to create a warm and loving home for her family. She enjoyed flower arranging, sewing, knitting, crocheting, craft fairs and playing cards and board games with her family. She and her late husband, Anthony, enjoyed travelling extensively and taking several cruises, and the occasional trips to Foxwoods.
Predeceased in 2021, by her loving husband of sixty years, Anthony L. DiPietro, and by her infant daughter Joanne, Josie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Paul Emond of Methuen, Sarah and Kevin Nason of Plaistow, and Regina and Steven Keenan, of Epping, NH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas DiPietro of Sandown and Anthony and Michelle DiPietro of Methuen; two sisters Rosemary O'Leary of Atkinson, NH and Catherine Hamel of Litchfield, NH; eight grandchildren, Eric, Elisha, Elora, Travis, Jordan, Brianna, Andrew, and Bridgette; a great granddaughter, Evelynn Josephine and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin at 9:30 on Monday morning, May 5, 2025, at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, and followed by burial in Center Cemetery, Sandown.
