Haverhill, MA: Joseph DiPrimo, 84, of Haverhill died on June 18, 2016 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
Born on September 20, 1931 in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of Antonio and Concentina (Bonfiglio) DiPrimo. Joe was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1950. He went on to serve in the United States Naval Air Corp in the Anti-Submarine Squadron.
Following his honorable discharge, Joe went on to pursue a career in electronics, earning an Associate's Degree from UMass Lowell in Engineering. Joe formed several electronic companies including Semi-Conductor Circuit, Instant Instruments in Haverhill, and most recently AAK Corporation in Plaistow with his wife, Elaine. Joe also served as treasurer of the Boy Scouts of America Ayers Village Council from 1970 until 1974.
A wintertime resident of Melbourne Beach, FL, Joe enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife, family, and friends. A history enthusiast, Joe also enjoyed bike riding, playing tennis, gardening, and anything that allowed him to be outdoors.
Joe is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Elaine (Gordon) DiPrimo, and a brother, Nicholas DiPrimo of Haverhill. Joe also had the pleasure of spending time with four step children, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
There are no public services. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
