Haverhill: Joseph E. DeCristofaro, 85, a Haverhill native and former resident of South Carolina and Nevada, died September 17, 2025, at High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill. Son of the late Eugene and Concetta (Barberio) DeCristofaro, he attended Haverhill schools and graduated from the former Haverhill Trade School. Employed as a millwright for fourteen years at Haverhill Paperboard, Joe established a painting and decorating business in 1982 and operated the business until 1995.

A member of the former Saint Rita's Parish of Haverhill, he was also a member of the Victor Emmanuel Lodge of the Sons of Italy, as well as the Bradford Athletic Club and Crescent Yacht Club. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time at his favorite casinos. He was a resident of North Augusta, SC and Las Vegas, NE for a total of thirty years before returning to the Haverhill area.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son, Joseph E. DeCristofaro, Jr. of Plaistow, his daughter, Nicole A. DeCristofaro and her husband Robert Nihan of Newburyport, a granddaughter, Dayna DeCristofaro and her partner Brandon Despres of Plaistow, NH, and a great-grandson, Carter Brann. He was predeceased in 2016 by his long-time companion, Brenda Ware.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
