June 20, 1937 – August 23, 2017
Joseph Frances Casey, 80, son of the late Tom and Evelyn (McComiskey) Casey of Cambridge, MA., passed away on August 23, 2017 at Mass General Hospital surrounded by his family. Joe was predeceased in death by his brother Bill Casey, and sisters Evelyn (Casey) Nadeau, Helen (Casey) Strout, Linda Casey, Louise (Casey) Barrett, and Ruth (Casey) West. Joe was born on June 20,1937.
Joe will be lovingly missed and sadly remembered by his wife of 27 wonderful years, Judy Ann (Nault) Casey, sons Mark Joseph Casey and his wife Karen of Manchester, NH., Joseph F. Casey Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Chester, NH., and daughter Donna M. (Casey) Felice and her husband John of New Port Ritchey, FL. Joe is survived by brother Bob Casey and his wife Shirley of Fremont, NH., Jimmy Casey of Newton, NH., sisters Maureen (Casey) Nichols of Merrimac, MA., Rosemary (Casey) Salas of Simi Valley, CA., and Muriel (Casey) Bechard and her husband Wifred of Punta Gorda, FL. In addition to his loving, immediate family, Joe leaves his cherished 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Joe was employed his entire career at Lucent Technologies, and retired as a Machine Setter and Layout foreman. A woodworker hobbyist, his recent scrollwork projects took many hours to complete. Joe loved fishing, cross-country skiing, was an avid fitness buff, and online card player- but playing 45's and Texas hold-em with his family, were his favorites!
Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's Calling Hours on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm, at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA., with a Funeral Mass at All Saints Church on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Joe's name to the American Legion Wilbur Comeau Post 0004 of Haverhill, MA.
