John Raymond Pichowicz, Jr., 80, of Plaistow, NH, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025. John was born on December 9, 1944, in Billerica, Massachusetts, to the late John Sr. and Jennifer (Bielawski) Pichowicz.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Betty, for 56 years and a loving father to their two children, Julie and Mark, their son-in-law Mark Messinger who is married to Julie, and two amazing grandsons - Maddox and Declan. John also leaves behind a very special friend who Maddox and Declan love and call Uncle Larry.  A very special thank you to Larry Hicks for all your love and support during this difficult time.

John initially worked at Little River Millwork and then began working in construction with his father. John helped build several homes and condominiums for much of his career alongside his father. He then worked at Pfizer for a number of years along with his wife Betty.

In retirement, John worked part time at Home Depot and loved spending time with his family. He was passionate about astronomy, cartography and playing cards with his friends and family. John always loved to reminisce about the good old days on the farm and telling stories of his grandparents.

John's legacy will live on through his family, friends, and all the people he has touched. He will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle nature, and his unwavering love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10am – 11:30am at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm at All Saints Parish 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill, MA, following calling hours.
