IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John L.
Negrotti
February 23, 1954 – April 13, 2024
John L. Negrotti, also known as Jake, aged 70, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Jake gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Jake was born on February 23, 1954, in Newton, MA. He graduated from Somerville High School in 1973 and joined the Air Force, serving multiple tours overseas including Desert Storm as well as time in Pakistan and Iraq. He retired from the National Guard as a Master Sergeant.
Jake was also the Athletic Facilities Manager at Northeastern University where he worked proudly for over 40 years. He was universally known around campus for his unmatched work ethic and his ability to keep the ice at Matthews Arena in perfect condition for his beloved hockey teams. It was hard to walk anywhere with Jake without being stopped by someone who knew and admired him. He loved Jimmy Buffett, watching college hockey, and buying donuts for his grandkids.
More than anything, Jake was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Donna; his children, Christopher Negrotti and Alicia Ernst and her husband Kyle; and his cherished grandchildren, Gianna Lessard-Negrotti, Kiara Ernst, and Emmitt Ernst. He was sadly predeceased by his sister Mary Bell.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, April 18, 2024, between 3:00pm-6:00pm, at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home located at 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at the funeral at 6:15pm. Interment will be held privately.
