John J. Linehan, 80, a resident of Plaistow, NH, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at home with his wife, Claire (Simard) Linehan, by his side.

He was born in Haverhill, MA on July 11, 1945, and was the son of the late John J. Linehan and Ethel M. (Bartlett) Linehan.  He was raised and educated in Haverhill, MA where he graduated from the Haverhill Trade School.  He was a lifelong printer and was employed at several local printers over the years.  John worked at DBL Press in Ward Hill, Naiman Press in Lawrence, the Eagle Tribune, and eventually retired from B & W Press in Georgetown.  He was a skilled woodworker and loved anything computer related.  He had a great appreciation for animals, especially for his beloved cats.  He enjoyed watching and learning about all of the various birds that would gather at his bird feeders.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children Sherry Linehan and her partner Alex Vellette of Raymond, NH, Karen Rivers and her husband Jeff of Fremont, NH, and John Linehan and his partner Debbie of Salem, NH.  He also leaves his grandchildren Audrey, Hannah, Aimee, Josh, Alicia and Johnny along with several great grandchildren.

His funeral services and interment will be held privately.
