Obituary

Kensington, NH:  John F. "Jack" Ronan, 82, a resident of Kensington since 2001, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts, and raised and educated in Arlington, Jack was the son of the late John C. and Loretta (Ballou) Ronan and graduated Arlington High School with the Class of 1956. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1958 until his honorable discharge in 1964.

Jack was employed in the printing business all of his working life, first for local printers before establishing Pride Printing Inc. of Woburn, in 1975, serving as President until his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish at Holy Angels Church in Plaistow, as well as a Third Degree member of the St. Jude Council of the Knights of Columbus, and member of St. Basil's Faith Community, and the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Jack was involved in the Cursillo movement and was a volunteer in prison ministry serving inmates at M.C.I. Concord, Bridgewater and Norfolk and was a mentor for the Getting Ahead While Getting Out program.

An avid hockey fan and supportive "hockey dad", Jack also enjoyed carpentry and gardening. Never one to be idle, he saw value in being productive and donated his skill to help others with home improvements and  yard projects, and extended that support to family, friends, his church and his community.

(Doherty) Ronan, a daughter and son-in-law, Linda J and James Allard of Atkinson, two sons and daughters-in-law, John J. and Melissa Ronan of Kensington, and Edward R. and Leah Ronan of Franklin, MA, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and John McCormack of Augusta, GA, and Maureen and Robert Murphy of Burlington, MA, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Christine Ronan of Gilford, NH, Dick and Roseanne Ronan of Arlington, MA, and Joseph and Karen Ronan of Woburn, three stepsons, Dan O'Leary, Eric O'Leary and his wife Nicole and Terry O'Leary and his wife Robyn, fourteen grandchildren, Cameron, Leah, Haylee, Paige, Connor, Alexa, Cade, Corey, Aubree, Cassi, Danny, Eric, Jimmy and Maryanne, and several nieces and nephews.
