Newton, NH:  John K. Hill, Jr., 56, of Newton, NH, died on May 14, 2018 at his home.   Born in Maine, the son of the late John K. Hill, Sr. and Elinor (Murphy) Hill, he attended Wells High School, graduating with the Class of 1980.  He was the Director of Operations for RC & D in Taunton, MA and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4.

He was a member of the Wells Congregational Church in Wells, ME, the Ocean Masonic Lodge #142 and the Shriners.  In his younger years, he was an active member of the boy scouts earning the highest rank of "Eagle Scout" and in 1979 was the ME State champion wrestler in the unlimited division.  Mr. Hill enjoyed collecting trains and designing and building his own model railroad.

He is survived by his wife, Merrillynn (Gooch) Hill; a son, John M. Hill of New Mexico; his mother, Elinor (Murphy) Hill of Wells, ME; a brother, Kenneth E. Hill of ME; a niece, Kassidy Hill and a nephew, Kyle Hill.
