John M. Fryer, 57, of Danville, and a former longtime resident of Newton NH and Haverhill, MA, died August 2, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John F. and Marjorie J. (Hawes) Fryer, and was raised and educated in Hamilton and West Boxford, MA. He attended Masconomet Regional High School and obtained his Massachusetts Builder's License as a young man.

Mr. Fryer has been employed for over twenty-five years at Morrison Paving Company of Georgetown, most recently as a foreman. He was a member and Vice-President of the "Bug" Club of Salem, NH, whose members are owners and collectors of Volkswagen Beetles.

He possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed buying, repairing and owning vintage Volkswagen Beetles and dune buggies. He also enjoyed yard work and construction projects around his home, and camping locally and in Florida. He was especially devoted to his dogs and miniature horses that he cared for with his wife.

His will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Susan (Hollow) Fryer, a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and David Simonella of Manchester, NH, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Life Celebration to be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the M.S.P.C.A.  at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
