Derry – John "Jack" Flanagan, 66, died Thursday April 20, 2023 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA surrounded by his loving family after a period of failing health.

Born May 27, 1956 in Haverhill, MA he was the son of the late John J. Flanagan and Marjorie (Sweeney) Scanlon.

Jack's father died at a very young age, but he was fortunate to be raised by his second father James Scanlon.

Jack worked as a foreman for Asplundh Tree Company for many years. He had an amazing smile, and a laugh that could be recognized by all who knew him. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed racing, NASCAR, snowmobiling and ATV riding. He also enjoyed antique hot rods, but more than anything he loved his family and spending time with them.

He leaves behind his wife Kathleen (Gallant) Flanagan of Derry, NH; his children Jason Chabot and wife
Kerri of Colorado Springs, CO; Stephen Chabot and fiancé Jennifer Collins of Salem, NH; Nicholas
Flanagan of Sandown, NH; and Kaitlin Harvey and husband Frederick of Danville, NH; his grandchildren
who knew him as "Papa Jack" Owen, Ryan, Cierra, and Reece, his siblings Patricia Brown and husband
Alexander of Hampstead, NH; Cynthia Flanagan of Plaistow, NH; James Flanagan of Atkinson, NH; Robin Bourdelais and husband John of Atkinson, NH; and Sean Flanagan of Atkinson, NH; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Shih Tzu Izzy.

He was predeceased by his sisters Deborah and Lisa Flanagan.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday April 26, 2023 from 4PM – 7PM at the Brookside Chapel and
Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH, followed by a funeral service at 7:15PM.
