John L. Brunelle, 65, of Hampstead, New Hampshire, passed away on May 5, 2026 surround by his family. John was born on October 23, 1960, in Berlin, New Hampshire, where he was raised. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and his deep love for his country remained with him throughout his life. He went on to build a career in telecommunications, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Above all else, John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Poppi). He shared nearly forty-four years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lori, building a life centered on love, family, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to his daughter, Michelle Vacca and her husband Brad, and his son, Ryan Brunelle. John was a loving and cherished Poppi to Landon and Nolan Vacca, who brought him immense joy and pride. John is also survived by his sister, Linda Brunelle and her partner Robert Marhafer, and many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed life in the simple and meaningful ways that brought people together. John loved jamming out to concerts, relaxing in the pool, and spending time outdoors doing yard work. He especially enjoyed time spent at Brunelle’s Sports Bar, creating memories and sharing laughs with family and friends. These moments, big and small, were where John felt most at home. John will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep love for his family and his country, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 12pm – 2pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 2:15pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held privately.
