Haverhill: Joanne M. (Gaiero) Tyrie, 69, formerly of Westminster St. and Forest Acres, died November 17, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospital following a long illness.

Raised and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Richard and Alice (Halloran) Gaiero, she graduated Saint James High School with the Class of 1965 and was formerly employed by the John Hancock Life Insurance Co., Insurance Solutions of Plaistow and Corporate Express.

She attended Saint James Church and Sacred Hearts Church, and enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and taking cruises.

The wife of the late David W. Tyrie, Jr. she is survived by sons, Eric R. Tyrie and his companion, Darci Sears of Haverhill, David W. Tyrie, III, of Worcester, and Scott W. Tyrie of Haverhill, a daughter, Cassandra A. Raymond and her husband, Jeff of Plaistow, NH, a brother, Richard Jansson and his wife, Marcia of Newburyport, sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one niece, one nephew and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Sacred Hearts Church, South Main St., Bradford. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow.
