Casco, Maine: Joann D. (Church) Faxon, 74, a resident of Casco since 1993, and a former longtime resident of Salem, NH, died on Christmas Day, at a hospice house in Auburn, Maine, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late James and Barbara (Frucci) Church, she graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1957. She worked for many years as the office manager and book keeper of Faxon Artesian Wells and Pumps of Salem, NH.
A former member of The Alliance Church of Haverhill, Mrs. Faxon was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed being a homemaker. She also enjoyed Christmas shopping and watching the 700 Club.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Richard A. Faxon, three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard A., Jr. and Karen Faxon of Bartlett, Randy W. and Lucy Faxon of Sandown, and John F.K. and Laurie Faxon of Salem, NH, daughter, Robin M. Faxon and her companion Ronald Faxon of Derry, and daughter and son-in-law, Julie-Anne and Peter Collette of Raymond, two brothers James Church of Kingston, and Raymond "Skip" Church of Haverhill, four sisters, Dolly Chasse of Haverhill, Barbara A. "Babs" Haggerty of Pt. Sienna, Florida, Linda Church of Haverhill and Jane "Janie" Lavanga of Atkinson, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Church.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Kingston Congregational Church, Kingston NH. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH.
