Haverhill: Joan M. (Belmer) Busick, 80, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Daughter of the late Kenneth Belmer and the late Eleanor (Clogsden) (Belmer) Glouser, she was educated in the Haverhill School System and was member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1958. A longtime foster parent for the Haverhill area and past Foster Mother of the Year, Mrs. Busick was a former teacher at Noah's Ark Daycare and Kindergarten in Haverhill.

Mrs. Busick was a former member and Deaconess of the Haverhill Alliance Church and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, camping, playing cards, Christmas shopping for her family, trips to Maine, cruises, and hosting family cookouts.

Mrs. Busick is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-eight years, Darwin A. Busick, and will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four sons, Forrest W. Pettengill and his wife Cynthia of Nashua, NH, Brian K. Pettengill of Philadelphia, PA, Darwin A. Busick, Jr. and his fiancé Jamie Linscott of Plaistow, and Greg Busick and his wife Annette of Farmington, NH, three daughters, Theresa Legare and her husband William of Fremont, NH, Carol E. Infinger and her husband Robert of Little Falls, MN, and Laurie Ingenluyff and her husband Michael of Kapolei, Hawaii, twenty-four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth W. Belmer.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, following the State of New Hampshire guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 1 PM from Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Brookside Cemetery, Boxford, MA.
