Lawrence, MA: Jimmy R. Dionne, 66, of Lawrence since 1999 and formerly of Haverhill, died on January 13, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury.
Born in Kittery, ME and raised and educated in Raymond, NH, son of the late Martin J. and Shirley (Davis) Dionne, he attended Raymond High School. Mr. Dionne served as an Army Ranger during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Parachute Badge.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Dionne was employed as an oil burner technician for local oil and heat contractors and also owned and operated his own company, Burner Services Inc.
A member of the Camsnapper Car Club of Newburyport, he participated in local Drive Nights. He was also a Life Member of the AmVet Post #147 and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Linda M. (St. Pierre) Dionne, three sons, Jimmy R. Dionne II and his wife Cindy of Lawrence, Daniel J. Dionne of Haverhill, and Michael S. Dionne and his wife Roseann of Lawrence, two daughters, Lisa S. Dionne of Haverhill, and Kelli Acselrod and her husband Justin of Vista, CA, a sister, Stacey Dionne of Ft. Meyers, FL, eleven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
