Atkinson, NH: Jennifer J. (Spera) ("Mrs. Wilson") Howe, 72, a resident of Atkinson since 2016 and former longtime resident of Danville, died peacefully, June 12, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. She was the very much loved former elementary school teacher at Hampstead Central School known to her students as Mrs. Wilson.

Born in Haverhill, daughter of Beatrice (Manetti) Spera, and the late Carmen Spera, she was raised in Atkinson and was a member of the first graduating Class of Timberlane Regional High School in 1967. She was a member of the Italian Club, Latin Club, and the Girl's Athletic Club and a member of the yearbook committee and the committee that chose the school colors of burgundy and white. She also served as Senior Class Secretary and Co-Chair of the Senior Class Prom.

Jennifer attended Keene State College and later graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 1972 with her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a devoted and respected teacher at Hampstead Central School for thirty years, beginning as a second grade teacher and later for most of her career as a fourth grade teacher until her retirement in 2008.  She was a member of the Atkinson Congregational Church and the Atkinson Garden Club.

An accomplished cook, who also enjoyed boating and trips to Aruba, Jennifer supported Community Crossroads in Atkinson by crocheting and donating a countless number of baby blankets and baby clothing items for new mothers.

Predeceased in 2015 by her beloved husband, H. Ronald Howe, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa A. and Gary Post of Plaistow, her mother, Beatrice (Manetti) Spera, of Haverhill, a brother Gino Spera of Haverhill, and several cousins and close friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony Spera.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jennifer's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in Atkinson Congregational Church, Main St., Atkinson and followed by burial in the Atkinson Cemetery.
