Jenessa MacKenzie, 51, a resident of Plaistow, NH, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Stanley with whom she has shared the last twenty years.

She was born in Melrose, MA on March 21, 1974 and was the daughter of Lucy (Gromyko) Hurley and the late Thomas MacKenzie. Jenessa was raised in Malden, MA and was educated in Andover, MA. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1993. Jenessa was employed as a waitress at T-Bones in Salem, NH for several years. She has worked at NxStage-Fresenius Medical Care in Lawrence, MA for the past twenty years. Jenessa studied reiki healing and was interested in all things related to the metaphysical. She was an avid photographer and loved gardening and animals. Jenessa was a loving mother; her children were her world.

Besides her husband Tom, Jenessa is survived by her children Kaila Hull of Berlin, NH, Dylan Eaton of Plaistow, NH, and Peighton Eaton also of Plaistow, her step-children Marcus Stanley and Colten Stanley both of Plaistow, her two grandchildren, her mother and step-father Lucy and Thomas Hurley, her brothers-in-law John Stanley and his wife Brenda of Plaistow, NH, Donald Stanley of FL, James McCormack of Lawrence, MA and her sister-in-law Cheri McCormack of NY. She also leaves behind several cousins including Randy Gummow with whom she shared a special bond.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March19, 2026 from 4pm – 7pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
