Haverhill, MA: Jeffrey M. Sturk, 67, of Haverhill died on December 8, 2015 at the Oxford Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Haverhill.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Clarence and Gladys (Steere) Sturk, he graduated from the Haverhill Trade School with the Class of 1966. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1971.
Mr. Sturk worked for many years as a Janitor for the Haverhill Public School Department. He had also been employed as a Janitor for St. Joseph Parish in Salem, NH. A member of All Saints Parish, he enjoyed listening to music.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susan (Ferguson) Sturk, and is survived by three sons, Brian M. Sturk and his wife Karey of Hudson, NH, Kevin J. Sturk of Haverhill, and Jeffrey M. Sturk, Jr. of Haverhill, two brothers, Phillip Sturk and his wife Sandra of Portsmouth, NH, and Robert Sturk of Concord, NH, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Suzanne, and his brothers, Rodney and Thomas Sturk, and is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary "Cookie" Sturk of Atkinson.
A private funeral service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
