Obituary

Jeffrey C. Morrill, 65, of Atkinson, NH, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, after a short illness. Born in Lynn, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Leon L. and Marilyn (Craig) Morrill. Jeff is survived by his love and his world, Judith Kimber Morrill. Jeff and Judy were everything to each other.

Jeff was one-of-a kind.  Generous, fiercely independent, with a heart of gold, and the family jokester. If he could put one over on you, well, it made his day! He would howl with infectious laughter. Not at you, but with you. Of course his many friends were not spared his gags.

Jeff was a nature lover and outdoorsman, spending as much time as possible exploring the woods at his former cabin. His artistic talents were most evident in the stunning fish ponds he created at his home and for family and friends. Jeff worked as a heavy equipment operator at Midway Utility Contractors in Seabrook, NH for 17 years.

Jeff was into country and bluegrass music. John Prine was one of his favorites. The Coen brothers film, Oh Brother, Where art Thou? was his favorite movie and he could recite it by heart. His mother's son, he loved animals, especially dogs. He also loved his Harley, and he combined the two loves when he discovered that his dog, Miss Arrow loved to ride with him!

Jeff will be sadly missed by his wife, Judith; daughter Maggie McGinn of Amesbury, MA; stepson, Koury Chaloux and his wife, Nicole of Windham, NH; brother Craig Morrill and his wife Mary Jane of Rockport, MA; sister Deborah Andrews and her husband Dennis of Newburyport, MA; brother-in-law Walter Kimber and his wife Gail of Georgia; sister-in-law Stephanie Pendergast and her husband Kevin of Groveland, MA and their son Sean of Derry, NH; grandchildren, Cheyanne and Adelia McGinn and Ava Chaloux. Jeff was predeceased in 2011 by his lovely wife, Tish McGinn.

Jeff is survived by many loving nieces and nephews: Michael (Mo) and Jessica Morrill, Nate and Kathie Morrill, Heather and Chuck LePage, Brian and Misty Morrill, Kyle Andrews, and Brynn Andrews along with many grandnieces and nephews.

As John Prine sang, "Your flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore." Whether that's true or not, Jeff has left behind the love and kindness that assured his place there.
