Haverhill – Jeannine T. Fournier, 85, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2024, at Mass General Hospital with family by her side, following a brief illness.
Born October 22, 1938, in South Berwick, ME, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Valea (Breton) Lacasse.
In addition to being a loving and devoted wife and mother, Jeannine had worked in the Admitting Office of Hale Hospital for many years. She was an artistic person who enjoyed oil painting, crafts, sewing, and knitting. She devoted many years to All Saints Parish volunteering and running the kitchen of the former St. Joseph's School and singing in the choir. She also enjoyed trips to Maine, camping, canoeing, and spending winters in Florida. She loved listening to music and playing the piano, and in her later years, she enjoyed watching the many birds at her feeder and the wildlife in her yard. Jeannine found such joy in the simple things in life such as watching the sunset or sitting in the warm sand by the ocean.
Members of her family include her five children Lynne MacWade and husband Michael of Andover, MA; Lisa Fournier of Gilmanton and her companion Jamie Clough, NH; Todd Fournier and wife Kassie of Sandown, NH; Brad Fournier and companion Lisa Freitas of Haverhill, MA; and Erin Buturlia and husband Steven of North Andover, MA; eleven grandchildren Koren, Jason, Kendra, Chad, Evan, Justin, Jared, Madison, Andon, Kelsy, and Steven, five great grandchildren Lianna, Luc, Avrielle, and Aliviana, and Annabelle and one brother Raymond Lacasse of Loudon, NH; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Lee Fournier in 2020.
Family and friends may visit Thursday May 16, 2024, from 4PM – 7PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Friday at 9AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10AM at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave, in Haverhill.
