Peabody: Jeannette F. (White) Senter, 72, of Brooksby Village, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her home, following a long illness.
A former longtime resident of East Broadway in Haverhill, before moving to Peabody in 2003, Mrs. Senter was born in Malden, daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (McGrath) White. She moved to Haverhill as a child and attended local public schools, graduating from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1957.
Mrs. Senter retired in 1999 as the Secretary of the Emergency Room at the former Hale Hospital after twenty-three years of service.
A former member of the Riverside Memorial Church in Haverhill, Mrs. Senter enjoyed gardening, camping and hiking and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving and supportive husband of fifty-three years, Steven T. Senter, a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth A. and Tammy Senter of Haverhill, daughters and sons-in-law,Donna J. and Keith Piechocki of Amesbury, Wendy A. and Franc Diaz of Bradford, and Sharon L. Senter of North Reading, three sisters, Phyllis Hulbert of Peabody, Ruth Dudley of Manchester, NH, and Brenda Quimby of Haverhill, also eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Fern Cole.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Emmaus Inc.
