Haverhill: Jeannette A. (Allard) Sauriol, 91, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died peacefully on Friday morning, October 7, 2022 at Hannah Duston House in Haverhill.
Daughter of the late Roland A. and Yvonne (Sauriol) Allard, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1949. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Emmanuel College in Boston and later her Master's Degree in Special Education from Salem State College, now known as the University of Massachusetts at Salem.
Mrs. Sauriol began her career in teaching as a substitute teacher in the Haverhill School System at the age of twenty-three and was a teacher at Haverhill High School for most of her career.
She was a lifelong member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish and was a longtime member of the Ladies of Saint Anne and Past President of the Society. She was also a longtime member of the Saint Joseph Parish Choir, the Haverhill City Club and the Biology Club associated with her graduating class from Emmanuel College.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was predeceased in 2013 by her loving husband Edward J. Sauriol, and in 2015 by her younger son David E. Sauriol. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Stephen J. and Pat Sauriol of Cody Wyoming, a daughter-in- law, Jo (Buswell) Sauriol of Monson, MA, ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Margaret, Samantha, Paul, Christopher, Peter, Laura, Theresa, Katherine and Elizabeth, ten great-grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Credit of Ossipee, NH, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Corneau-Jackson and Gertrude Mahoney.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
