Jeanne M. Tobin, 88, died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. Born in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Joseph Havender, Jr. and Beatrice (Haffen) Havender Intemann, she graduated from the Academy of Mount Saint Vincent in Tuxedo Park, NY and the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Riverdale, NY.
Jeanne lived most of her life in Yonkers, NY and the immediate area. She was married to her beloved husband Bob Tobin for fifty-four years, until his death in 2011. As a couple, Jeanne & Bob's lifelong passion was their involvement in Catholic Engaged Encounter which they served in many capacities over twenty-five years.
After moving to Sandown, New Hampshire, Jeanne became very involved in the local community. She was an active member of Saint Anne Parish in Hampstead, NH.
Jeanne is survived by her three children: daughter, Maureen and son-in-law, Brett Johnson of Sandown, NH; son, William and daughter-in-law, Joan Tobin of Newtown Square, PA; and son, Daniel and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Tobin of Chesapeake, VA; and seven grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brother Thomas J. Havender.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, following the guidelines of wearing a face mask and social distancing. Due to COVID-19 precautions, a Funeral Mass with limited seating will be held Friday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Parish, 26 Emerson Ave, Hampstead, NH 03841. For those unable to attend in-person, the Funeral Mass will also be livestreamed on St. Anne's website https://www.saintannechurchnh.org/livestream.
