Jean (Bragdon) Pizar, 100, died on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Exeter Hospital with her two wonderful daughters by her side.
She was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Whippen) Bragdon. Jean was a resident of Kingston, NH most of her life. At an early age the family moved to Haverhill, MA. Jean was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1942, this is where she met the love of her life John Pizar. They were married almost 71 years when he passed away in 2013. John always called her darling. Jean worked at Lucent Technologies, formerly Western Electric, for 25 years as a layout operator until her retirement. John and Jean loved to travel, making many trips to Ireland with their friends, the Mahoney's. They also traveled to Greece, Germany, France, Italy, England and many cruises. She loved babysitting her eleven great grandchildren and missed not having any little ones. Jean is now with her darling John at last.
Jean is survived by her daughters Sandra Foy and her husband Jim of Kingston, Pam Gray and her husband Bill of Kingston, her grandchildren Michael Foy and his wife Sara, Jeffrey Foy and his wife Melissa, Scott Foy and his wife Stephanie, Courtney Deschenes and her husband Brian, and Stacy Gray, her eleven great grandchildren, and her stepbrother Allen Flanders. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was sadly predeceased by her sister Priscilla Bragdon.
Her funeral services and interment will be held privately at Jean's request. Memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society at donate.nationalmssociety.org.
