Obituary


East Hampstead, NH:Jean G. (Long) Harvey, 78, a resident of East Hampstead for the past fifty years, died July 30, 2012 at her daughter's home in Salem, NH.



Born in Chelsea, MA, daughter of the late Gordon and Annie Edna (Bennett) Long, she was raised and educated in Everett, MA and was a graduate of Everett High School's Class of 1951. She graduated in 1953 from the Boston Dispensary with a certification as a Lab Technician.



Ms. Harvey worked for fifteen years in the Admitting Department at Bon Secours Hospital, and previously worked for New England Field Facts.



She was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Hampstead and the Order of Eastern Star and a charter member or Hampstead VFW Auxiliary. In her younger years she served as a 4-H Leader.



An avid reader, Ms. Harvey also enjoyed gardening and knitting.



She is survived by her son Frederick W. Harvey, III of Edgartown, MA; two daughters and sons-in-law Debra J. and William Killey of Salem, NH; Amy L. and Mark DeFeo of Sandown, NH; one brother and sister-in-law Gordon R. and Doris Long of Oak Bluffs, MA; her former husband Frederick Harvey, Jr.; six grandchildren; one great grandson; one niece, one nephew and several cousins.



Relatives and Friends may call on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Rte. 121A, Plaistow Village, NH.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead.To send a message of condolence or for directions to our facility please visit our website at www.brooksidechapelfh.com.
