(Grace) Starner
April 30, 1954 – February 15, 2018
Jean R. (Grace) Starner, 63, a resident of Atkinson for the past thirty-five years, died February 15, 2018 after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Sheahan) Grace, she was a member of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School Class of 1972. She was employed for many years as an Assembly Technician and Quality Control Inspector at Press Tek. For the past year she was enjoying her favorite job, babysitting her newest grandson.
A devoted and loving grandmother, Mrs. Starner enjoyed painting, crafts, flower gardening and trips to the beach. She was a wildlife enthusiast and accomplished photographer who also enjoyed camping, traveling and also visiting and photographing numerous national parks.
She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-eight years, William F. Starner in 2005, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly A. and Barrett O'Brien of Salem, NH, and a son and daughter-in-law, Adam W. and Sue Ellen Starner of Derry, grandchildren, Austin Starner, Savannah Starner and Ethan O'Brien, a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Mary Grace of Cambridge, a sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Michael Dell'Isola of Somerville, a sister-in-law Judie Jourdan of Rochester, NY, a sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Ray Sullivan of Marlboro, MA, a brother-in-law Paul Starner of Salem, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins and a companion, Lee Werling of Atkinson. She was predeceased by a sister Claire Davis and a brother Edward Jourdan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jean's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The MSPCA at the Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA or to The American Cancer Society.
