Obituary

Haverhill, MA: Jean M. (Parks) Bouvier, 92, a former longtime resident of 1240 Broadway until her recent move to Newburyport, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Atria-Merrimack Place in Newburyport.
Born and raised in Newburyport, daughter of the late Curtis Henry and Jeannette (McLaughlin) Parks, she graduated in 1946 from Newburyport High School, where she was a member of the Glee Club, the Drama Club, the school Marching Band and the Girls' Basketball Team. In her younger years, she was also active with the Newburyport Choral Society and the Order of the Rainbow Girls and was employed at Towle Silversmiths.
Shortly after her marriage in 1950 to Adrian Bouvier, she moved to Haverhill, and worked in her husband's businesses from 1951 until 2006. She was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish and presently attended Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport.
Mrs. Bouvier enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she excelled at making a warm, comfortable and loving home for her family. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and working around her home and hosting the many family parties and celebrations. Over the years, she always looked forward to picnics at the Newburyport docks and Salisbury Beach Reservation, outdoor concerts in Maudsley Park, and vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee and Ogunquit, Maine.
Predeceased in 2020 by her devoted husband of 70 years, Adrian Bouvier, and her sister Beatrice Scott, as well as her daughter Kathy Denoncourt in 1996 and son-in-law Ralph Denoncourt, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons: Gregory Bouvier and his partner Susan Clark of Haverhill and Douglas Bouvier and his wife Kathleen of Bedford, NH, a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Stephen O'Meara of Plaistow, grandchildren; Kurt Denoncourt, Ryan O'Meara, Samantha Bouvier, Victoria O'Meara, Adrian Bouvier, and Aimee O'Meara, great-grand-daughters, Amelia Denoncourt, Bianca Bergeron, and Brynleigh Denoncourt, and several nieces and nephews.
